Paintless Dent Removal
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Paintless Dent Removal?
Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) is the process whereby dents and
dings are meticulously massaged out from the bottom side of the
metal with special tools. Each dents removed one at a time by a
highly skilled and trained artisan. This unique process eliminates the
need for plastic fillers and repainting your vehicle.
Is PDR a new process?
Not at all, PDR has been utilized at auto plants around the world for
over 40 years. Auto dealerships and auctions have been using PDR
services in the US for over 15 years. Only recently have the PDR
services been made available to the public.
What are the benefits of utilizing the PDR process?
- Cost effective- Generally, repairs are preformed at a fraction of traditional body shop repair costs.
- Quick repair time- Most door dings can be repaired in less than an hour. Hail damaged vehicles can usually be repaired in 1-2 days.
- Environmentally safe process- No paint or plastic fibers are used.
- No vehicle depreciation- With PDR the vehicle's finish is not disturbed, there is no mismatched paint or plastic repairs to diminish your vehicle's value.
Will this method harm my paint?
No, today's modern and flexible polyurethane paints and thinner
gauged sheet metal allow PDR technicians to massage the dents
out without damage to your vehicle's paint.
Will my dents come back?
No, unlike plastic fillers which cover over and hide your damage, the
PDR process physically massages the metal back to it's original
shape. All dents are guaranteed not to return.
What repair can be made to my vehicle?
- Dings
- Minor Dents
- Creases
- Hail Damage
- Trade-in Value
Access plays an important role in PDR. Drilling may be required. Due to the severity of some dents, removal will be 80-90%.
